Redesigning the new CNIB Beyond Print website

Redesigning the new CNIB Beyond Print website

The wait is over!

CNIB Beyond Print has officially launched its redesigned website.

After several months of planning and preparation, we are proud to share our new look with our community, stakeholders, and partner organizations.

Our new website incorporates updated and targeted content to help our community and organizations learn more about us and our service offerings and improved site navigation to help users find what they’re looking for.

Our journey throughout the years

CNIB Beyond Print has transformed over the last few years since our humble origins in 1907 as the Canadian Free Library for the Blind. Our team and service offerings have expanded and allowed us to become global industry experts in accessible formats.

With over a century of experience through CNIB, we have produced braille, electronic publications, and audiobook materials for individuals and organizations across the country. We have continued to advocate for equitable access to materials for people with print disabilities. To reflect this evolution, we have embraced a new visual identity to match the modern, “born-accessible” business we have become. Here’s our story in a short video.

More features of the new website

Along with the more modern look and feel, our new website incorporates new accessibility features, easier access to the braille portal, and the ability to register and purchase braille courses online.

We have streamlined our sitemap, polished our personality, and revamped our visuals.

Our new website has been built from scratch and will accompany CNIB Beyond Print through our role in the next CNIB strategic plan.

Recognizing the hardworking team behind the launch

We can’t conclude this exciting announcement, without acknowledging the hardworking team that made this possible. Thank you to Marketing and the internal team that contributed to the website.

Last, but certainly not least, a big thank you to our fantastic software development team.
